Icelandic wool is prized by handspinners. It is an especially warm wool being duel coated with tog, a courser wool and thel, a fine, soft wool. Icelandic wool is known as the top wool for felting projects and it is versatile and can be used for a wide variety of projects, from apparel to rugs and beyond. My upcoming fall clip will be made into rovings and battings and rug yarn. The fall shearing also provides gorgeous fleeces of many colors for those that are interested in raw fleece.
